Trinity Uptown/Central City Project Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) open comment period extended
FORT WORTH, Texas – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and local sponsors have extended the open comment period concerning the Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the Trinity Uptown/Central City Project to September 7, 2005. The extension is a result of requests from citizens to allow enough time to completely review the DEIS and provide comments.
An open house with public input meetings concerning the DEIS on the project are scheduled for today, July 26 and tomorrow, July 27. The meetings will be held at the YWCA in downtown Fort Worth, 512 West 4th Street, beginning at 4 p.m. each day. Public comments will be recorded during the open house or during the formal comment period beginning at 7 p.m. each evening. A Spanish translator will be available during the meetings.
Comments may submitted by mail to Dr. Rebecca Griffith, CESWF-PER-P, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, P.O. Box 17300, 819 Taylor Street, Fort Worth, TX 76102-0300; faxed to 817-886-6498; or e-mailed to Rebecca.S.Griffith@swf02.usace.army.mil.
