Fair Contracting Reports (Updated – July 23, 2008)
Local Report (City of Fort Worth, Tarrant Regional Water District, Trinity River Vision Authority)
Federal Report (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers)

*Please note that the term "minority contracting" is not used here to reflect ethnicity, but refers to all contractors who may be in the minority of their industries, including businesses that have received or are eligible to receive special certifications:

  • Women-owned businesses
  • Service-disabled veterans
  • Socially and economically disadvantaged
  • Historically under-utilized businesses
  • HUBZone businesses
  • Small businesses
  • Small disadvantaged businesses
  • Ethnic minorities who are Asian, Black, Hispanic, and Native American

A very active advisory committee has been working cooperatively since January 2006 to help set guidelines for M/WBE / socioeconomic contracting opportunities. Chaired by Rosa Navejar, president of the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the committee has representatives from city and federal government, other chambers of commerce, project sponsors, women’s construction associations, and various certification agencies.

Because there are local, state, and federal budgets involved, it is important to note that certifications among these agencies are not reciprocal. If you are interested in bidding on any project, you must have the proper certification.

For details on the certifications required, click here. Trinity Uptown sponsors cannot guarantee that the information posted here is the most accurate or current. Please be sure to check directly with the appropriate certifying agency. For your convenience, web links are provided:
